| RPO - Roles and Responsibilities |
The roles and responsibilities of parties involved with RPO are consistent with the tasks outlined in the Program Management Plan for the ERP.
| Air Staff | The Air Staff, or HQ USAF/A7C, implements policy and execution oversight; as well as provides program advocacy for the AFCEE and the MAJCOMs. |
| AFCEE PMO | AFCEE provides centralized management of the ERP through the Air Force Restoration Program Management Office (PMO) and serves as the Service Center by providing contract execution management. The PMO is the lead in ensuring implementation of the RPO initiative. The Regional Environmental Offices (REOs) will provide technical and regulatory interface support to RPO.
In addition, the AFCEE Restoration PMO provides oversight on the RPO Recommendation Tracking Matrix (R2TM) effort. Final acceptance of completed recommendation is controlled by the AFCEE Restoration PMO manager. |
| AFCEE/TD | The Technical Division (AFCEE/TD) serves as the Air Force's center for technical reach-back. AFCEE/TD is responsible for all aspects of the Air Force RPO Program. Program management tasks include project support, outreach, training mediums, performance tracking, participation monitoring, and maintenance of the EDITT database. All RPO efforts are coordinated with the AFCEE Restoration PMO, as well as with the MAJCOM and installation RPMs. |
In addition, AFCEE/TD is responsible for Remedial Action Operation (RA-O) and LTM optimization tools and five year reviews.
| MAJCOM | The primary roles of the MAJCOM in the RPO are advocating the RPO program and organizing and equipping installation RPMs to support RPO. The MAJCOM coordinates with Air Staff, the AFCEE, and the installations; and provides consultation on overall program approval. |
| Installation | The Installation RPM provides the RPO Outreach Office with annual RIPS database updates for the remediation sites at their location. |
