What is the RPO Outreach Office?
Our charter is to guide and encourage Air Force clients to embrace RPO as part of their core practices.
RPO Policy mandates that installations and MAJCOMs with remedies in place or LTM activities, to include monitored natural attenuation, execute a RPO program.
How can the RPO Outreach Office help you?
The RPO Outreach Office and AFCEE Program Managers are ready to help our Air Force RPO customers to achieve their specific optimization goals.
Our team of environmental and business professionals provide a:
- Service center to facilitate the process
- Information repository to organize and track remediation results
- Toolbox to provide essential RPO information and tools
- Subject matter expertise in remediation process decision making
- Technical support in using the Environmental Decision Information Tracking Tool (EDITT)
Armed with the EDITT tool and Air Force policy, the RPO Outreach Office helps its customers by providing an Air Force approved, standardized approach to building an inventory, emphasizing performance, and tracking and perpetuating results.
History of the RPO Outreach Office
Since the late 1990s, environmental professionals at the AFCEE have been facilitating individual RPO activities throughout the Air Force and the Defense Logistics Agency.
In 2002, Air Staff stood up a formal RPO Outreach Office to help meet the Air Force's optimization challenge and assist the MAJCOM and Installation RPO customers with their individual optimization programs.
The RPO Outreach Office should help answer the question "How should I go about integrating optimization into my Air Force environmental program?"
