ERP-O Process Technical Visit Phases

Previsit and Planning (Phase I) The purpose of the Previsit is to assess the current status of the remediation program and collect information for the ERP-O team to use during their week-long visit. Based on the Previsit, a Read-Ahead document is prepared containing all pertinent background information for the ERP-O team's visit.

Understanding the base's program prior to the ERP-O visit allows for better preparation and staffing of the ERP-O team and makes the optimization process more efficient.

ERP-O Visit (Phase I) The Phase I ERP-O visit is conducted to develop recommendations for optimizing the base's restoration program and assisting in meeting program requirements. This phase is performed by the selected ERP-O team that looks at the overall restoration program to identify the opportunities to optimization.

At the end of the visit, the team will complete several work products. These documents include an out-brief report, an executive summary, exit strategies, CSMs, and population of the R2TM. Additionally, a list of action items and corresponding roles and responsibilities are identified to push draft work products to completion. Where appropriate all the data needed to update and populate the EDITT database are gathered.

Detailed Assessment and Implementation (Phase II) The function of Phase II is to refine the specialized, technical recommendations that require work outside the scope of the Phase I Visit. The work is usually performed by an AFCEE support contractor under the guidance of the base, R-PMO, AFCEE/TDV.

Implementation of Recommendation (Phase III) The objective of Phase III is to implement recommendations made by the ERP-O team during Phase I and Phase II. After receiving authorization from the R PMO, the base implements the recommended modifications with possible oversight and Quality Assurance from the ERP-O TAV team These changes may save the Air Force millions of dollars.

R2TM (Phase IV) The R2TM module of EDITT organizes and tracks the status of the recommendations produced during the ERP-O TAV visit. The base, R-PMO, AFCEE/TDV, and ERP-O support contractors coordinate the population of this module. This module makes project updates and follow-up projects easier to manage. The R-PMO can use the R2TM to validate base funding, track recommendations and make final determination (Completed or Not Implemented) documenting rational for each recommendation.
