Environmental Restoration Program Optimization (ERP-O)

Why ERP-O
The Air Force Center for Engineering and the Environment (AFCEE) Environmental Restoration Program Optimization (ERP-O) program is an approach created for the specific purpose of supporting the optimization of the Air Force Wide Environmental Restoration Program as mandated by AFI 32-7020 and SAF/IEE October 27, 2004 Performance Based Cleanup Policy Letter.

ERP-O Mission
Maximize the effectiveness and minimize the financial liabilities and environmental footprint of the USAF restoration program through competent technical leadership and guidance

ERP-O Vision
Be the USAF Environmental Restoration Program preferred, efficient and reliable optimization source

Through sponsorship by AFCEE/CMS and AFCEE/TDV leadership ERP-O is charged to:
  1. Implement ERP-O principles USAF-wide
  2. Conduct independent, objective analysis of each USAF installation's ERP
  3. Oversee ERP-O implementation in a manner consistent with AFCEE's strategic plan
