The Portfolio Management team provides numerous opportunities for the Installation team to obtain the knowledge and skills necessary to fulfill asset management responsibilities during each phase of the Privatization Services Lifecycle and to familiarize Asset Managers with the Asset and Portfolio-level tools that are available through the Program.

Operational Training
A training resource designed to provide Housing Management Offices (HMOs) with a forum for discussion on housing privatization operational issues. The session will focus on targeted operational principles to enhance overall HMO knowledge, skills, and techniques required to effectively manage the day to day operations and project oversight/compliance at privatized installations. Training will be conducted through online web conferencing via the Defense Connect Online (DCO) Portal.

Target Audience: Primarily HMO Personnel (Capital Asset Managers, Housing Privatization Managers, and any other staff tasked with compliance oversight).

Asset Manager Training
The Asset Managers Training provides a comprehensive review of the Portfolio and Asset Management Program. The course will cover the privatization process from transition to long term viability. It will help prepare management level personnel for the requirements of the privatized processes and provide training in financial analysis to assist in identifying trends that may positively or negatively affect the program. Course will cover the reporting requirements, roles/responsibilities of the stakeholders, budgeting and financial reporting, and oversight.

Funding: This course is funded by Air Staff through a contract with AFCEE.

Air Force Housing Privatization Workshop
Since 2003, the Housing Privatization Workshop has been the only AF training workshop devoted solely to housing privatization and open to all engaged in the HP program. Its purpose is to communicate to all stakeholders the Air Force's vision, policy, and guidance updates for the HP program. This annual workshop is the primary opportunity to provide technical training, reach back and expertise, lessons learned, and proven case studies in a classroom setting. It also provides private sector and Air Force personnel consistent and simultaneous training, messaging, and guidance. The format assists in sustaining the current partnerships and forging new ones. For additional information and to register for the workshop please access the Air Force Housing Privatization Events Web site.
