Portfolio Management and Asset Management
This site is meant to provide new and seasoned Asset Managers and Portfolio Representatives a portal to access, learn about and understand the goals, operations, services, contacts, tools, training and resources of the Portfolio and Asset Management Program ("Program").
Each page in this portal contains useful information and further details on the following Program topics:
All pages will contain hyperlinks to Program material and additional resources in the "Links" box in the upper right hand corner of the reading pane. Clicking on the hyperlinks will take you to the Asset Manager's Toolbox, the Air Force Portfolio and Asset Control and Evaluation System ("AFPACES"), AssetNet (Web-based asset management training - coming soon), the AFPACES Training Archive, the Lessons Learned Database, and FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions).
The Asset Manager's Toolbox is designed to aid Asset Managers and Portfolio Representatives in achieving Program goals and objectives by providing a comprehensive resource organized into 13 Program topic areas.
AFPACES is the Asset Manager's gateway to Project and Portfolio financial and operational performance information. In addition, AFPACES serves as an electronic repository for Project and Portfolio documentation. AFPACES access requires log-in identification and a password. Access is limited to individuals with involvement in a particular project at the Installation, MAJCOM, and Air Force Center for Engineering and the Environment (AFCEE) levels.
AssetNet is currently under construction. When completed, AssetNet will be comprehensive Web-based training for Asset Managers and housing flight staff members with access to AFPACES. This course requires log-in identification and a password.
The AFPACES Training Archive provides a repository of material gleaned from previous Asset Manager's training courses and various Air Force sources pertaining to Portfolio and Asset Management. The AFPACES Training Archive requires AFPACES access only.
The Lessons Learned Database is a powerful web-based tool located within AFPACES for sharing best practices and lessons learned in the course of executing Portfolio Management of the Air Force Privatized Housing projects. The Lessons Learned Database requires log-in identification and a password.
