The Chief Financial Office Branch (CFO) operates as the AFCEE Budget Office and provides a full range of financial management support, to include budget formulation, budget justification, budget execution, processing financial documents, interacting with the base Accounting Liaison Office (ALO) and DFAS to address accounting issues, providing financial analysis and reporting and processing purchase requests.
AFCEE receives and manages funds from a broad array of customers and a wide range of appropriations to include the following: Operations & Maintenance (O&M), Environmental Restoration Account (ERA), Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC), Military Family Housing (MFH), Military Construction (MILCON), and funding from Non-Air Force customers in support of IRAQ Reconstruction, Afghanistan Reconstruction, and funding from a variety of organizations, to include the Defense Energy Support Center (DESC), Defense Distribution Center (DDC), NASA, and the U.S. Army.
This branch also performs a variety of other functions, such as managing internal controls, audits, and inspections, as well as serving as trainer and systems administrator for the Automated Business Services Systems (ABSS), the Defense Travel System (DTS), and the Obligation Adjustment Reporting System (OARS).
Organizationally, the AFCEE Budget Office consists of the following five teams: 1) the AF Customer Funds Section, 2) the O&M / ERA Section, 3) the Non Air-Force Funds Section, 4) the Systems and Reporting Section, and 5) the MILCON & Investment Section.
